The safest, innocuous and satisfactory method for a buttock augmentation is gluteal lipoinjection, which consists in extracting fat from other parts of the body (mainly the abdomen) and then injecting it into the gluteal area.
This is the easiest way to achieve a silhouette and shape you want without undertaking the risks that other more drastic techniques might imply. Therefore, during the surgery, liposuction is performed on the areas that warrant it and then, with the remaining fat, a variable amount (usually more than 400 cc) of fat is injected into the gluteal area, obtaining the desired increase.
Not all the fat obtained through a liposuction is of the same quality and suitable for a buttock injection. Usually the fat from the abdomen, thighs, knees, flanks and back is the one that offers the best results in a long term.
You should consider that usually more than the desired amount of fat should be injected, because certain percent of it is usually reabsorbed as a result of the extraction and reintroduction procedure, which is totally normal.
Another way to achieve buttock augmentation is through buttock implants, which is usually not recommended, unless the patient is looking for a buttock size impossible to achieve through a BBL procedure.
Estimated surgery time: 2 to 3 hours.
Estimated recovery time: 8 to 10 days if initial recovery.
