Breast lift or mastopexy is a surgical procedure in which excess of skin and tissue that accumulates in the mammary gland is removed, sometimes it may involve changing the position of the areola and nipple. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, losing weight or aging cause a flaccid skin and smaller breasts, which is solved with this surgery.
- General anesthesia.
- Usually does not require hospitalization.
- You can resume work in no less than 7 days after the procedure. Activities of greater physical effort may be performed 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. The type of procedure is what determines the type of healing.
