Breast reduction surgery also called reduction mammoplasty is a surgical procedure in which part of the breast tissue and the skin as well as excess fat are removed. It is recommended when you have macromastia (very large breasts) that causes pain in the neck, shoulders, head and back.
Provide smaller, lighter and firmer breasts that are provided with the rest of the body, thus eliminating the pain.
RESULTS THAT CAN BE ACHIEVED:
The results vary in each patient but are usually satisfactory. It will take a few months before her breasts take on a definite appearance; Yet the breasts will change to normal hormonal stimuli, pregnancy or changes in body weight. Over time the scars will be less noticeable. The back, neck and shoulder pains will stop.

SURGICAL AND POSTSURGICAL ASPECTS
- General anesthesia.
- It is recommended from 1 to 2 days of hospitalization.
- You can resume your work activities after 6 days and use a compression brassier until instructed. Avoid physical contact for 3 or 4 weeks.
Temporary inflammation, pain that is controlled with medication, alterations in the sensitivity of the skin, bruises, feeling of tension.
