It is a safe and effective surgical proceder, where the orthopaedic surgeon inserts a small camera (arthroscope) into the knee joint. The images are seen on a TV monitor.
It is on outpatient procedure where, depending on what kind of surgery was done, the pacient is able to walk on crutches the same day.
If an ACL or PCL repain is done, usually the pacient stays over night, for drainage and pain control.
