It is a safe and effective surgical proceder, where the orthopaedic surgeon inserts a small camera (arthroscope) into the shoulder joint. The images are seen on a TV monitor.
It is an outpatient procedure where the patient leaves the hospital wearing a sling, and should be able to move the arm depending on the pain.
If a rotador cuff repain is done, the patient usually stays over night for pain control.
